So what's the point of this blog, eh? This blog is intended to be a record of my adventures in Japan. I plan on putting my observations, my stories, and hopefully my photos here to capture my wild and wacky experiences, good and bad.
So who am I? I'm the Eep! I'm a 3L at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. I've had a thing for Japan for quite a number of years now. My goal entering law school has been to live, work, ect. in Japan. I wanted to be State Department. In all honesty, law school was a last minute thing. Four years since I graduated Rutgers, a lot has changed in my life. I've put back on the pounds, so hopefully Tokyo will help me with that. We'll see. My goal of being in Japan remains the same, though the picture I had in mind has also changed.
What are my interests besides just "Tokyo"? Admittedly, I'm a geek. I'm an omni-geek. I geek out at a lot of things. Besides just liking to eat, I appreciate good food. In my free time, I put on the lab coat and go into my kitchen to experiment. I'm looking forwards to good "wasyoko." I'm a big time history geek. The combination of my love of cooking and history probably lead me to be into Japan in the first place. I'm a real sucker for Meiji era stuff. Amazing period. Admittedly, I also enjoy anime. I haven't watched it in a number of years, and that's probably for the best. Dangerously, I've been drawn to Keroro Gunso lately (aka Sgt. Frog). We'll see how this madness spreads. Generic outdoorsy stuff is there on my list too. I'd love to hike Mt. Fuji, but it'll probably be closed when I'm there. We'll see more things on the list as I continue to post. I want to milk Japan for all it's worth.
What don't I like? Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty is my ancient nemesis. From time unknown, the forces of good (that's me) and evil (that's it) have done battle. This Spring, our battle will conclude.
So yeah, one more week to go.
